Why Evaluate a Motion Controller

The motion controller is the brain of the machine that controls all motor and IO tasks. The controller also communicates directly with the user application, which could be running various external processes such as vision, analytics, database management, etc.

A machine development cycle can range from six months to two years (if you are a medical customer and need approvals). Successful deployment utilizes skills and effort from software, electrical, and mechanical engineer(s). The correct motion controller must be selected to fit the needs of a system.

Once you have shipped out many machines, your motion controller needs to be able to accommodate your future feature wishlist for the next-gen system. An evaluation will help make that determination.

A user should thoroughly evaluate a motion controller before making such a big commitment.
